Assistance in Legal Matters, Submissions of Petitions & RTIs

Legal advisory & submissions of Petitions & RTI is a noble initiative of The Military Chamber to provide free/ low cost services to military families on any military or civil issues and disputes.

Many of our military family members need legal advise or need to submit their petitions & RTI on many complaints, issues and disputes. This platform driven by softwares creates a support network for taking legal advice or submit petitions and RTIs.

Chamber advices military families due caution and deliberations  before going to any litigation or court and first use tools or RTIs and Petitions to get redress. Please remember litigations are time consuming and costly. At old age it means nothing but mental harassment and cost to your health. So avoid going to court as long as possible.

Keeping above in mind, The Military Chamber is providing  first on line RTI & Petition submission advisory services. It works as under:

Right To Information (RTI)

RTI is a very effective tool to get redress. RTI submission services are provided online by central govt & state govts. Remember information is power and if you posses it, you can easily argue with govt for your complaint redressal. It also puts required pressure on govt officials to get your job done. So seek information through RTI, if you feel  aggrieved.   Please remember following point while submitting RTIs

  1. It should be addressed to right department and person. Google to seek this information before you submit RTI.
  2. Use right on line govt portal  and follow instructions and procedures as given there.
  3. Before submitting RTI, frame right questions. Remember if questions seeking  informations are not rightly  framed, correct information will never come.
  4.  Ask for copy of right documents. Prepare a list before.
  5. Submit right fee.
  6. If right information is not coming through as govt officials are evading it, don’t give up, follow it with information commissioners.
  7. Always consult your colleagues or persons who have already submitted such RTIs  or some reliable expert locally.

The military Chamber advices that once you have obtained right information and documents using RTI or you already possess such information and documents then it is time to go for submission of petition before you serve any legal notice or go to court. While submitting petition keep following points in mind

  1. Make sure you have right information in hand to create references and support your argument.
  2. Address petition to right govt department and official.
  3. You shall submit petitions on line on govt portals, if govt provides such services or send it by e mail followed by a printed copy through a registered mail.
